We are searching for an independent, self- starter to work as a PT Medical Assistant at our satellite offices in Red Lion and Spring Grove. The successful candidate will enjoy providing a combination of quality care for patients and accurate and timely clerical support for our physician. LPN or CNA required.


Essential Responsibilities:


  • Explains procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension


  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques in clinic and satellite offices


  • Oversees patient charts for accuracy and thoroughness


  • Notifies responsible personnel and patient/family of any pending expiring authorizations or if there is an authorization in question, seeks personnel to clarify


  • Completes prior authorization to insurance companies and necessary paperwork. Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient


  • Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or Physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents


  • Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assesses condition of patient


  • Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol


  • Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned patients


  • Initiates a patient treatment plan according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or clinic policy including patient and family instruction


  • Prepares needed charts and paperwork for physicians


  •  Is responsible to keep physicians within time periods of appointments.
  • Collaborates with patient's families, hospitals, pharmacies, insurance companies and other agencies


  • Responds to patient questions with regard to medication and treatment plans in accordance that clinic policy and nursing practices


  • Other Duties as assigned
