Join an established and growing behavioral health practice in Lancaster and Dauphin Counties. TEAMCare Behavioral Health is looking for Behavioral Specialist Consultants to work in school and community settings.  Full and part-time positions avaialble.  

Basic Function:

The Behavioral Specialist Consultant (BSC) is a lead clinician in the provision of Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services, including initiating entry of the child or adolescent into services, and introduction of involved staff to the family. The BSC is responsible for collaboration and development of the treatment plan with the team, child/adolescent and child or adolescent's family. This includes developing the goals, objectives, methods, persons responsible, target dates and identifying progress. Interventions provided will involve specific efforts to stabilize the child or adolescent, work with the family to guide and support their efforts in stabilizing the child or adolescent and promoting of appropriate behavior, as well as collaboration with other involved professionals and agencies in order to provide unified services and continuity of care to the child and family. The BSC will gather information on the antecedents, behaviors, and consequences in written format to identify treatment goals, determine the type of behavioral intervention needed, and design behavior modification plans that are strength-based and non-aversive and respect the social-cultural background of the client and family.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Development of treatment plan, involving integration from various sources, with regular data-driven updates to the treatment plan occurring, at a minimum, every four months.
  • Direction of child or adolescent's treatment program, including consultation/intervention utilizing behavioral management techniques; regular meetings and consultation with child/adolescent and family and other treatment team members; organizing and conducting Interagency Service Planning Team (ISPT) meetings, and collection of necessary materials to construct authorization request packet for (re)authorization of services. Determination of ongoing family support services needs, natural supports, and professional support needs.
  • Conferring/Collaborating with other assigned treatment staff (e.g. Mobile Therapist, Therapeutic Support Staff) in order to maintain continuity of treatment direction with identified treatment plan goals.
  • Tracking of client progress through organization, review, and charting of data collected by treatment team members about frequency, intensity, and duration of targeted behaviors and positive replacement behaviors.
  • Determination, in conjunction with child and family and other involved professionals, of the clinical need for special evaluation and services, such as medication assessment by a psychiatrist, psychological testing, or other services.
  • Collaboration with child and family and other involved professionals to develop daily routines during times of crisis and transition and a 24-hour crisis plan. Collaboration with other involved professionals and agencies in order to provide unified services and continuity of care to child and family.
  • Attendance of regular supervision meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess or have ability to obtain Act 33, Act 34 and FBI clearances
  • Must have Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Experience in the treatment of children and adolescents
  • Professional Licensure (LBS, LPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT) or licensed eligible
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a PLUS but not required
